Abstract

Recent years, Wireless Sensor Networks-WSN have been widely used in Intelligent Trafc System.This paper introduces an observing and controlling system of traficlight node by using WSN and 3G communication network. The proposed system can change operation modes (normal, yellow blink and system-off) as well as the cycle time of trafclight of each node. Based on collected data of the trafclight cycle and current measurements, this system offers warning and determines which node has error (corruptlight, communicationerror, power-off, etc).Asaresult, the management and operation of the trafclight system will be improved.
