Abstract

With a rapid increase in the number of IoT devices, the network access protocols of the devices also become diversified, leading to the need for IoT platforms that support heterogeneous network access. In each area or with different applications, the communication solution as well as the measurement and control for peripheral devices is different. Current IoT systems are mainly built for a specific problem, lacking the ability to expand the connection network and with different peripheral devices, therefore a costly investment and time to build the system, and at the same time, the ability to work is less reliable. The article proposes a flexible IoT solution that can be readily applied to outdoor systems, such as smart agriculture, smart lighting, and smart traffic; thereby suggesting a flexible application with different infrastructures for each application with high working quality, scalability, time and cost-savings.
