Abstract

Social responsibility is a relatively new term not only for individuals but also for enterprises in Vietnam. With the Vietnam’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2007, corporate social responsibility is receiving a lot of interest from enterprises because it is a necessary condition to develop sustainably and meet the requirements of domestic and foreign partners. Since 2005, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has been organizing the “Corporate Social Responsibility - Towards Sustainable Development” award to honor enterprises who have actively implemented social responsibility in the context of international economic integration. It can be said that social responsibility is a requirement for enterprises, and they can not fully participate international markets without taking social responsibility. This article is based on the report of survey results with 50 enterprises in Hanoi to find out the implementation situation of corporate social responsibility and propose some recommendations in order to enhance corporate social responsibility through salary policies.
