Abstract

The process of gas and oil transportation in subsea pipelines depends on the properties of transported fluids, especially their physicochemical properties, rheological properties, as well as the characteristics of the pipelines. In the oil field of Vetsovpetro JV, oil and gas transportation in subsea pipelines faces many challenges due to complicated properties of paraffin produced oil leading to deposition in pipelines. There is no pigging system installed for oil transportation pipelines in Vietsovpetro JV’s oil field, so it is critical to use other methods to clean the pipelines. The article focuses on the effective method applied in Vetsovpetro JV for cleaning the deposition in pipelines, improving the ability of oil production in Vetsovpetro JV.
