Abstract

Vang Danh 2 Coal Screening Plant is an important investment item in the
“Coal Industry Development Plan up to 2020 with the prospect up to 2030”.
The main equipment of the plant are domestic products belonging to the
National Science and Technology Project “Research, design and manufacture
of main equipment for Vang Danh 2 Coal Screening Plant with the capacity
of 2 million tons per year”. Within the framework of this project, Institute
of Energy and Mining Mechanical Engineering (IEMM-TKV) has carried
out the subproject “Research, design and manufacture of vertical wheel
dense medium separators for coal dressing Vang Danh 2 Coal Screening
Plant”, including MTHP-20 and MTHP-16, which are main technological
machines of the production line. MTHP-20 and MTHP-16 have been
researched, designed according to the prototype CKB-20 (manufactured by
Soviet Union), improved and completed in terms of technology, structure,
and fabrication materials, and manufactured by the advanced technologies
available in Vietnam with the help of CNC system. In the period of 2016-
2017, they have been installed, tested with intermittently stable load with the
entire production line and are now ready for production.
