Abstract

The KIBAMID 7.5RB bait has been tested for two common infesting ant species in the urban areas of Hanoi. The results illustrate that the bait has efficiency of treating the fire ants Solenopsis geminata and small weaver ants Monomorium pharaonis in the first assessment (after two days of baiting). The effectiveness reaches 100% for the fire ants after one week of baiting. In the case of small weaver ants, the bait efficiency is gradually increased after each checking interval and reaches 72.7% after 12 weeks of baiting.
