Femininity and gender perspective in Vietnamese contemporary literature

Abstract

Femininity in literature is a feature, a tendency for artistic thinking. It leads to the ways of arranging works with female identities or the praise for qualities and values of women. This tendency is expressed widely and popularly, and it become a feature of Vietnamese contemporary literature. This article describes and analyses the origins of Femininity, the representation of Femininity and the gender perspective in Vietnamese contemporary literature through typical phenomena, in some basic aspects. The author uses the Feminist criticism and the methods of Cultural studies, Poetics, and Narratology in this study
