Abstract

Most ethnic groups in Northern Moutainous region of Vietnam have a longstanding relationship with many similar or different ethnic groups in other countries which share or do not share the border. In globalization context, that relationship has been strengthened in all the fields of economics, social activities, culture... It not only brings the benefits like making income, changing economic structure, conserving culture... but also affects negatively the social stability and national security, especially unregistered marriage, illegal drug trade, child and woman trafficking, free trans-border migration.
