Farmer households’ participation in linkages of the grape value chain in Ninh Thuan

Abstract

Ninh Thuan grape farmer households’ participation in effective production models such as production groups or co-operatives is still limited because their participation does not help them to sell grapes. As a result, the growers have to sell almost their grapes to collectors. This is one of the most important reason why almost Ninh Thuan grape growers are difficult to take opportunities to improve their income as well as mitigate risks. Based on the research results, the author propose some measures to enhance grape farmer households’ participation in the linkages to develop the Ninh Thuan grape value chain in general and improve grape farmer households’ income in particular.
