Abstract

This study investigates the impact of non-financial rewards on employee job satisfaction at commercial banks in Hanoi, employing a quantitative research method. Data were collected from a survey administered to 220 employees currently working at various commercial banks and analysed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to identify underlying constructs, followed by linear regression analysis to examine the extent to which these factors influence employees’ job satisfaction. The findings reveal that six dimensions of non-financial rewards have a statistically significant impact on job satisfaction, in descending order of influence: (1) performance evaluation and recognition; (2) empowerment in task resolution; (3) training and career development; (4) working conditions; (5) opportunities for career advancement; and (6) the nature of the job. The results provide robust empirical evidence highlighting the critical role of non-financial rewards in enhancing employee job satisfaction while acting as a scientific foundation for formulating and adjusting human resource management policies in commercial banks.
