Abstract

Transportation of oil and gas by subsea pipeline always faces many challenges, including: wax deposition, high viscosity of oil, distribution of gas and liquid in flow, specially high pressure, and thermal losses... Accurate assessment of these factors in the process of oil and gas transportation is critical for operating pipeline safely. Simulation models are widely used for pipeline operation assessment. In this article, the authors focus on experiments using OLGA simulation model for assessing the condition of paraffinic oil transportation pipeline in Bach Ho and Rong oil fields at Joint Venture Vietsovpetro.
