Research on the behavior of structure with outriggers and column - outrigger joints under seismic load

Abstract

Theoretical analysis and experimental verification which help make recommendations in design practice are common and important methods for researching structures under earthquake in the world, but still rare in Vietnam currently. This paper presents the issues related to the column - outrigger joint experiment under cyclic loading in the earthquake laboratory of Institute for Building Science and Technology. Some comments and recommendations drawn from the experimental results are also presented in the paper
