Abstract

The paper provides the research results of in-situ synthesis of nanostructured polyaniline (PANi) composites on platinum microelectrodes by electrochemical polymerization method and the potential application for gas sensors. Analysis results of the surface structures by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) show that synthesized polyaniline nanowires have diameters in range of 50÷100 nm. Chemical composition structures of polyaniline composites were studied by Raman and Energy-Dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectra for identification of the modified Panadium (Pd) composition available on the surface of polyaniline composites. The obtained results show a good applicability of polyaniline composites to improve sensitivity, response time and recovery time of NH3 gas sensor.
