Effect of production and economic efficiency of duckling breeding model 15 - Dai Xuyen products

Abstract

Sea Duck 15 - Dai Xuyen is also call Sea Duck 15 which the Dai Xuyen Duck Breeding and Research Center has implemented a demonstration farm to raise in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Ninh Binh provinces and got good results. The survival rate of duck was more than 98%; the body weight was from 1,905.22 to 1,950.02 g/duck at the age of 8 weeks, and from 2,583.18 to 2,648.53 g/ duck at the age of 20 weeks. The maturity age was 21-22 weeks; the body weight at first laying was from 2,591.12- 2,648.31 g/duck; the laying rate was 67.51-68.31%; the egg production/female/52 laying weeks was 246.79- 248.63 eggs; FCR/10 eggs was 3.37-3.51 kg. The economic efficiency of the demonstration farm raising Sea Duck 15 reached over VND 250,000 per duck. Raising Sea Duck 15 - Dai Xuyen can bring a high economic efficiency for farmers, and contribute to the economic development and protection of the island in Vietnam.
