Development and assessment of an industrial DAQ based multielectrode geoelectrical resistivity instrument for exploring the soil environment
Keywords:
data acquisition, geoelectrical, industrial DAQ, multielectrode, resistivityAbstract
Multielectrode geoelectrical resistivity instrument have been researched and developed for nondestructive soil environmental surveying or monitoring applications. With a low cost, industrial DAQ modules, and a data processing method in the flexible control software, the instrument can work automatically and give a more reliable results despite the low input current. Field experiments showed that this approach was feasible to be applied in many fields such as 2D resistivity image exploration and monitoring of the soil environment, salinity intrusion or landslide investigation, contaminated environments, and soil moistrure monitoring in agriculture.
