Effects of applied load’s frequency on the stress reduction result of vibration stress relieving technology
Keywords:
applied load, residual stress, vibration stress relievingAbstract
Frequency of applied load is an important technological parameter affecting the result of vibration stress relieving process. Simulation results with ANSYS package on welded sample show that resonant vibration creates higher deformation in samples; therefore, it can give better results in comparison with non-resonant vibration. The experiment on welded samples with vibration stress relief equipment HV21 and the residual stress measurement with RS200 system also confirm this rule. The obtained results have been used as recommendations for selecting technological parameters in application of vibration stress relieving for work pieces in realitty.
