Analysis of technology and computational methodology of material balance in the production of NPK fertilizer

Abstract

Fertilizers play an important role in agriculture, especially multi-component fertilizers. One of important multi-component fertilizers is the socalled NPK fertilizers. There are many methods to manufacture NPK fertilizers. By using chemical methods, NPK fertilizers have the best quality with optimum physical properties. However, these methods are very complex, requires mastery of manufacturing technology and high investment, and are only profitable in large-scale production. In this contribution, the authors present the description of the technology and computational methodology required in the production of NPK fertilizers by using chemical methods.
