Abstract

Termite baiting system for control of Subterranean termites (Coptotermes) has been applied effectively in many countries around the world. Until now, this method, however, is still undergoing through the experimental studies in Vietnam. During 2013-2016, the termite baiting system was evaluated to determine its overall efficacy for remedial control of subterranean termite activity in some areas of Vietnam. The result showed that the mean time of termites first attacking the termite station was 80.8±13.8 days, in which, the soonest was 14 days (2 weeks). The average amount of BDM10 bait was 216.5±12.3 (150-380 g) per work. The BDM10 bait achieved the 100% efficacy in the management of Coptotermes after about 36-45 days.
