Abstract

Water storage in loose formations is a method using structure measures to keep water in the formation pores. The Central Highlands with specific features and high volume of rainfall and surface runoff that often drains out, while water scarcity is very critical during the dry season in many places of the region; in addition, the loose formations are widely distributed across the region with high thickness. Based on the analyses of hydrogeological characteristics of the loose formations and its existence in a geological space, the paper presents structure measures for water storage and exploitation in the loose formations of the Central Highlands.
