The temple system of the Tran Dynasty in Dong Trieu, Quang Ninh province

Abstract

Dong Trieu is the fatherland of the Tran Dynasty, where the Tran Dynasty built royal tombs and temples. According to the historical ducument, the Tran Dynasty has built many temples, but only the remains of An Sinh and Thai temples have been identified. Archaeological excavations at the Thai temple in 2008-2010 clarified the architectural scale and confirmed that the Thai temple is Tran Royal Ancestor’s temple. The An Sinh Temple have much to be cleared; excavations being carried out here will provide evidences to clarify the size, nature of the relic as well as date of the relic.
