Abstract

The energy spectra of the box and sphere quantum dots were found by a simulation method. Based on the discreted-energy levels, the author simulated and pointed out the absorption spectra of the quantum dots with different shapes and sizes (may be applied for semiconductor quantum dots). The probability for electrons at temperature T ≠ 0K was clearly discussed. The study also determined the dependence of absorption spectra of semiconductor quantum dots on temperature.
