Keywords:

In order to create a new soybean variety and improve the soybean variety DT2008 which has a long growth duration, an average tolerance to lodging because of its high stem with a large foliage, Agricultural Genetics Institute has applied Co60 gramma irradiation on DT2008’s dry seeds at doses of 0 (the control), 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, and 350 Gy. The results have shown that the effective doses creating beneficial mutants are 150, 200 and 250 Gy. The beneficial mutants which includes shorter stem (8-13 cm), higher yield, and shorter growth duration (by 5-7 days) as compared to the origin DT2008 have been selected in M6 generation, especially some individuals having black seed skin.Classification number
