The view of Vietnam value system from the survey results in 2014: current situation and proposals

Abstract

From the results of a survey conducted nationwide in 2014, the article concluded that, to develop the country, it is necessary to identify the oriented value system including the basic traditional values which need to be preserved and the humanity elite values which need to be supplemented. In the immediate future, it requires to pay special attention to the 5 pairs of elite values of humanity: rule of law and democracy, humanity and patriotism, honesty and bravery, responsibility and cooperation, science and creation. These values will help to overcome the basic bad habits in human and the main evils in society. Along with the preserved traditional values, these values will ensure Vietnam to develop in a sustainable way.
