The role of cultural security in the development of national culture today

Abstract

Although there are many different interpretations of cultural security, after all, we can get 2 approaches to the conceptual comprehension of cultural security: firstly, cultural security is the struggle against the infiltration of the idea flows and the spread of products which are non-cultural, unhealthy, and contrary to the guidelines and policies of the ruling government, and against the harm to relics, and protecting the national identities; secondly, cultural security means building the healthy cultural environment, ensuring the freedom of creation and cultural enjoyment for all people, protecting the national culture, and fighting against the counter-value, counter-culture activities. Therefore, ensuring the cultural security is to contribute to guaranteeing cultural rights; building the healthy cultural environment; promoting cultural exchanges; and struggling against the counter-culture, counter- value, anti-humanities.
