Abstract

PCDD/F emission from medical incinerators (MIs) has become a big concern for the health of local residents due to its toxicity and deposition. Therefore, stack gas, wastewater, sludge emission from the main MIs in Ho Chi Minh City have been investigated. The obtained result has shown that PCDD/Fs concentration has varied from 0.114 to 4269.2979 pgTEQ/Nm3. The authors detected heavy metals and the trace of PCDD/Fs in sludge and the trace of PCDD/Fs in wastewater.
