Abstract

This paper presents the results of firstly using a combination of geological, geochemical, geophysical methods to identify the area of Bang hot water resource in Quang Binh province. It has identified the location and indications of the model of a typical hydro-geothermal system with magmatic origin. Reservoir temperature has been determined by geochemical thermometers, giving values in the range of 167- 2100C; temperature at the surface of reservoir can reach 2000C at the depth of 3 km. The obtained data allow to determine the suitable location for exploration drilling to the reservoir in the next phase.
