Research and development of biosensors in vietnam: current situation and prospects

Abstract

With the recent advances of micro and nano technology, biosensor has interfered with the nanotechnology and created a new area called nanobiosensor where we can see biosensors at the nano-scale dimensions. Nowadays, nanobiosensing prospects have penetrated in the field of medical, biological and environmental applications. In this context, research and development of biosensors and nanobiosensors in Viet Nam has achieved encouraging results. Some promising research teams have been established. Nevertheless, transforming potentialities into useful technological products requires the continuous endeavour from scientists and the strong support from managing authorities. This article presents anoverview on current situation and future perspectives of research and development of biosensors.
