Research on technology of sifting and processing lithium ore from La Vi, Quang Ngai province

Abstract

Lithium (Li) mine in La Vi, Quang Ngai province which has the reserves of about 1.5 million tonnes of ore has been successfully researched by the scientists the National Insitute of Mining - Metallurgy Science and Technology to make the technology process to produce the Li ore containing > 4% Li₂O and the process technology to produce Li ore into Li₂CO₃ and LiCl with the purity > 99% which have the same quality with the commercial products in the world market. The discovery of Li ore in Quang Ngai province and the positive results obtained by this research have opened the potential for Vietnam to develop the industry of mining, mineral processing and producing Li compounds to provide raw materials for high technology industries such as aerospace, chemical, battery...
