The composition and distribution of the cicada Cicadidae family (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha) from Northwestern in Vietnam

Abstract

In this study, we have collected 63 species, of which 15 species are only recorded in Vietnam, in which 2 species are described new to science, 8 species are recorded only distributed in the Western  North that is not found in other regions, including:  Eopycna indochinensis Distant, 1913; Gaeana vitalisi Distant, 1913; Terpnosia rustica Distant, 1917;Terpnosia mesonotalis Distant, 1917;  Semia majuscula (Distant, 1917); Karenia hoanglienensis Pham & Yang, 2012; Huechys tonkinensis Distant, 1917,  Scieroptera delineata  Distant, 1917 it can be said, these are endemic species of the Northwest region, Vietnam.
