Abstract

Leadership and leadership style play an important and necessary role for the key leaders in state-owned enterprises
and contribute to influencing the performance or achievements of enterprises. In the context that state-owned
enterprises need to develop a methodical and long-term strategy in recruiting, training, and fostering management
and operating capacities, research on leadership styles of the key leaders in state-owned enterprises is extremely
essential. This article systematised the theoretical basis of leadership and leadership styles of the key leaders in stateowned enterprises and then analysed the experience of international studies on leadership styles as the basis for the perception and formation of leadership styles of key leaders in state-owned enterprises in the new context.
