Abstract

A level crossing is an intersection where a railway line crosses a road, most railway traffic accidents happen here, therefore, traffic safety requirements on the level crossing are always a concern of the railway industry in every country in the world. The automatic level crossing warning system is one of the most common structures, the technical solutions applied to this system are also diverse and have certain advantages and disadvantages. The application of new scientific and technological achievements to monitoring and controlling systems in the railway industry
plays a very important role, but the required level of safety for such systems is very demanding, so the problem of this topic is always interesting in research. This paper presents a solution to design and test an automatic cross-road warning system applying advanced technology according to safety architecture, to reduce the cost of construction and maintenance of the system, contributing to ensuring safe traffic, convenience in management, and improving the throughput capacity of the railway industry.
