Integrating industrial Vision into college curricula: An innovative solution in technical education to meet industrial needs

This study evaluates a pilot industrial Vision training program for students across five majors: information technology, automation, mechatronics, industrial electronics, and industrial electricity from three colleges in Hanoi. The curriculum was designed to integrate theory and practice, based on the collaboration between academia and industry. Learning outcomes revealed that 48.3% of students achieved grades from good to excellent. Students in Information Technology and Automation had the highest rates of good-toexcellent scores (80 and 66%, respectively), while those in Industrial Electronics and Industrial Electricity exhibited lower results (34 and 20% respectively). However, only 5.3% of students expressed strong interest in the subject, indicating a need to enhance interaction and communication to improve learning motivation, career understanding, and awareness of professional advancement opportunities. The study also highlighted significant disparities in academic performance among the five majors, reflecting differences in students' comprehension and practical skills in the Vision technology field. These findings suggest that training effectiveness can be improved through program refinement, thereby contributing to the development of a high-quality workforce in industrial Vision that meets future industry demands.
